  1. Drink more water! Experts recommend drinking half your weight in ounces of water.
  2. Journal! Think about the highs and lows for each day.
  3. Exercise! Even taking a walk outside will clear your mind and help you feel less stressed.
  4. Cook a meal! Knowing what goes in your food gives you insight on how you’re fueling your body and what it can do for how you feel throughout the day.
  5. Take naps (if necessary)! Getting enough sleep is important for cognitive functioning and happiness.

How to Find Peace in Everyday Life:

  1. Do what makes you happy.
  2. Know that everything will be alright.
  3. Take breaks, rest.
  4. Spend time with friends and family.
  5. Go outside! I find that sitting in front of my computer or using my phone all day really drains me. Nature just has a way of waking us up and freeing us. If you’re feeling stressed, take a step outside and enjoy the trees and plants around you. Feel the breeze in your hair and hear the sounds of nature.
  6. Finish tasks. If procrastination is stressing you, end your torture. Finish whatever you’re pushing off and then be free!

How to maintain a healthy friendship 😃!

image

How to maintain a healthy friendship:

Talk to your friends–if something is bothering you, your friends will be there.

Be respectful–conversely, if someone doesn’t want to talk, respect their decision. (but be ready with a hug!)

Have fun–I know, I know, it’s such a vague and overused expression, but planning a fun day with your friends really do help make everyone closer

Make sure it is not a one way road–It’s important to know when you are in an unhealthy friendship, and that is usually when one person will do anything for the other while it won’t be like that the other way. Also, make sure that you’re giving and working for the friendship as well.

Tips on Opening Up to Friends

    1. Friends can be trusted. Don’t be ashamed to talk to your friends!
    2. Don’t force yourself to tell a friend something, because it takes a lot of time to build that trust, so just say it when you think you can.
    3. You’re not a burden by entrusting your friends with a piece of information about you, because your close friends will care about you no matter what. They want to know more about you and help you out.
    4. Set a date to tell your friend, so you don’t keep pushing it back, if you’re afraid. It’s going to be just fine

  • Everything is going to be alright. Don’t overthink things and just take it easy. It will all work out and your friends and family love you.

  1. Go outside!! It’s not good for your mind or your body to stay pent up inside all day. Go outside and get some fresh air, and just feel the stress blowing away!!
  2. Listen to your favorite music. Whether it be classical, rock, pop, or country, listening to your favorite genre or your favorite artist will be sure to bring up your mood and help you forget the stress in your life.
  3. Do some Yoga. Even if you have no idea how to do yoga, no biggie. Search up some moves online and try it out, because it helps to calm the mind and the body in times of extreme stress and tension. Or if you’re not into yoga, at least exercise 🙂 It’ll make you feel much better and happier!

How to get more sleep by staying focused

  • Don’t procrastinate– It is in our nature to procrastinate, but it is the end goal that should matter. Once you realize that the faster you finish everything you need to, the more time you get to relax.
  • Take short breaks– Trying to focus for a long period of time does not go well. Instead, take short 5-10 minute breaks every hour or so to get your energy back up!
  • Drink water– Drinking less water leads to headaches, which makes it harder for us to focus on our work. Eventually, it makes it hard to get some sleep too. Keeping a bottle of water near you while you are working encourages you to keep yourself hydrated.
  • Get rid of any distractions– Log yourself out of Facebook, turn your phone off, and get settled in a quiet environment so that you can focus and get your work done sooner.

How to Stick to a Diet

How to stick to a diet

  • Make a realistic plan you can stick to. Don’t take too many breaks from your diet, but don’t completely deprive yourself of the food that you love, even if it’s unhealthy. You know yourself.
  • Reward yourself every so often. Like I mentioned in the previous one, you should still eat what you love every so often, because it’s important to live freely in your life. Make sure you don’t give yourself too many rewards!
  • Get rid of unhealthy food. It’ll only tempt you to eat it. You can definitely buy yourself something unhealthy as an occasional reward though!
  • Don’t skip meals. If you’re on a diet to lose weight or fat or for any reason, don’t skip meals. You will only feel tired and hungry, and it’ll make you lose motivation. Eat good, healthy meals that keep you from snacking.
  • Stay strong. Dieting isn’t easy. It can be really difficult to keep yourself from eating snacks or eating unhealthy food. But to stay motivated, you have to keep reminding yourself why you’re dieting. Remember that goal, and don’t punish yourself when you diet. The best diet is maintaining a diet.

What to Working While Working Out

  1. Stay hydrated. Give your body the liquid it needs to work it out!
  2. Don’t use a timer. Instead, remember what time you start to exercise and just do it until you feel like you don’t want to anymore. Checking back after practices helps you focus on what you are doing rather than on the time.
  3. Listen to music. It helps to get you going! There are many playlists all over the internet that keep you pumped up 🙂
  4. Keep a log. Track your progress and watch your growth.

Wear comfortable clothes. They feel better 🙂
